The boon called Forgetfulness

As I scamper fast towards old age at breakneck speed…will mental faculties remain far behind! But one of the things I have come to love is diminishing memory cells.

Brat: Mama! “You sent craft book instead of art book today!”
Aging mother: “Sorry darling, I forgot!” (better than telling her I thought art and cratft are the same!)

Forever Young Husband: “Give me the receipts I told you to keep aside”
Lazy Wife: “You know my problem na. It is safer that you to take up filing/ safe-keeping of all important papers” (Phew! finally!)

Brat(in utter panic): “Mama, Junior is chewing my pencil” SHRIEK
Aging-lazy Mama: “Chewing pencils sharpens memory! Maybe I should try that!”

In-laws: “You haven’t called in three weeks now”
Aging me: “Oops! I forgot you were away!”

So, when one takes everything in one’s stride, limitations become blissful. Who says forgetfulness is about getting old…forgetfulness of the trivial is ecstacy! It is utter bliss to live in the present moment! So, here is where I dwell!
