TOI Crest closes down!


That’s the latest sad news! The one newspaper I wait for, is shutting down! Last weekend was their last edition.
Aside from Mint lounge, TOI Crest is the only weekend edition (weeklong read), covering a gamut of topics from food to travel to … well, who cares, there’s food and travel!
 
Will dearly miss the beautifully written features, the laugh out loud funny stories and all those wonderfully well researched columns!

TOI Crest, Mint Lounge, Rocky and Mayur on NDTV Good Times are some of the few sources that provide this entertainment starved, mother of two, some reason to continue with the vain existence.
TOI Crest, you will be dearly missed! Weekends….ahem…sorry…weekday afternoons will no longer be the same without you! You have left a void in my life and I have to now go hunting from publication to publication, until I find the soul-mate with a wavelength match!

Tooth fairy comes visiting

As dramatic as mornings can get, today was no different. The early morning madness just got more dramatic today, with the long-threatening tooth deciding to disembark, while brushing. What followed was much excitement and triumphant announcements, the world had to know, who cares if they are sleeping! As the said tooth needed some rinsing for presentability and display purposes, the earnest mother suggested that it be run under the tap, while the most horrendous thing happened and it slipped and fell into the drain of the wash-basin, from Brat’s hand. What followed was of course more high decibel activity, with screams and wails, as to how I could suggest something so horrid, and how now, the tooth fairy will never find anything. Marathon Bloggers: August Challenge: 3 Pet Peeves

My personal vexations that annoy me, top three, off the top of my head: (1)    My obsessiveness with orderliness! The number of hours I spend putting those godforsaken toys in their respective places, designate jars that stock essentials in the fridge, file those mundane papers, and yes! the fixation with labelling and honouring it, while putting things back, only to have Brat and Junior scatter everything all over the very next minute!   If only I had spent all these hours at the gym… (2)    Huh!
