Burdday fun...Brat turns 6
So Brat enjoyed being completely
involved with all preparations for the said party. She made the guest list (3
chuddie-buddies and building friends), a list of all things to be bought
(balloons, streamers, paper plates and such like), and also listed down her
ideas for return gifts. Brat has started writing comfortably, taking help for
spellings sometimes and getting creative most other times, but yes, she has
taken a liking to writing, I don’t fuss much about spellings being right all
the time, what is important is that develops love for reading and writing at
this stage. So, she wrote down all these lists herself and helped Mama with all
the decorations and preparations! That was the fun part, in the whole deal, the
involvement, anticipation and excitement!
Mama was trying to catch up with
the current trend of buying online and visited a few sites to pick up return
gifts, but turns out online shopping and delivery is for the more organised lot
and doesn’t accommodate lethargic beings, perpetually running behind schedule!
The plan didn’t work for us, but the Brat sure seems to have opened up to the
world of e-commerce (Saw her placing an order on her 2-inch wide, pink laptop
for a hair brush, while playing with her dolls)!
Anyway, that was a digression…coming
back to the burdday pardy…Mama did her best to organize some fun games, which the polite and
well-mannered kids somehow endured, got done with the cake cutting and eating
formalities, and came up with a polite
“can we play in Brat’s room?” request, which indeed got a ready green signal. And
then the actual party began…”beech ka Bandar” with one balloon…the kids had a
blast!
