When busy-ness is a chronic condition
My busy-ness is a chronic condition. I can safely say I've been diagnosed with this malady soon after I got married, when I initially started keeping myself busy, in the quest to cope with the new family I started living with and it just grew and grew to become a serious chronic issue.
With life, as we know it, coming to a standstill amid Covid-19 lockdown, people around me, friends and family seem to be making the most of "free-time". Family Whatsapp groups are inundated with quizzes, puzzles and riddles of all kinds. There is frequent interaction with long lost kith and kin through Zoom calls, and binge watching on streaming services is a total given! But alas! I'm busy!
With two kids and the extended family moving in with us, the cooking-cleaning routine is pretty much round the clock. And then, there is of course work-from-home. Where's the time for Netflix, or for that matter a zoom call with my vastly spread out jing-bang. I have none at all! I am Busy!
