And I thought I could shop!

My cupboard has been howling and wailing, seeking some attention from it’s languid owner and asking for some freshness. Seriously felt the need to go and pick up a few clothes. I usually avoid shopping during sale, hate visiting a crowded store and waiting in long lines for trial rooms. But me being me, when the need strikes, it screams, urgent, essential, can’t do without! So, apparently the need struck, and the mind refused to reason and certainly refused to wait.

So, off went the whole family, mother, father, with kids in tow, following an early lunch, just to ensure, we get parking at a place, atleast a kilometre within the said store and hopefully, wait in lines for trial, billing, etc, etc, a little less than perpetually!

Thanks to all the planning, parking was a bliss. (Everything goes well you see, when two world-wise adults apply their minds, and so diligently calculate, the best time to land in a store to leave blissfully after finishing ‘planned’ business. The second time mum, knows just how to get her business done!)

So, while the mood was right, the mall relatively less crammed, and kids were being at the best of their behaviour, I was warming myself, walking into stores, I wouldn’t otherwise bother with, And, Mango, Chemistry, Zara, whatever, wow! I’m getting into the mood! And then…tra la la…father and daughter, totally on impulse, decide to indulge in a shoe-spree, followed by a sudden jolt of hunger (famished brat, just needed the ice gola to fulfil the growling tummy’s unassuming call), by which time, junior decided to get some attention, demanding to be fed and put to sleep, leading to frantic scurrying and searching for baby room. Huh!

The well planned, world wise, second time mum, finally gets free after puttering around much too long, to fulfil said agenda, and walks into her favourite store, packed to the rafters, with fervert shoppers, and emerges after an hour-and-a-half of toil, with one lone top and aching heels! And the cupboard still remains unsatisfied!

So, this weekend, the family will go shopping again! And this time, there will be some planning going into that!
